Policy Makers make a range of decisions that influence people’s ability to access food, the viability of food and farming businesses, school food environments and the environmental impacts of our food system.
Each election cycle, the Thunder Bay and Area Food Strategy surveys candidates in the upcoming municipal, provincial or federal elections, with questions regarding their commitment to improving access to healthy food for all including school food environments, protecting food producing areas and supporting food and farm businesses. We share the responses directly with the public via our website and social media channels, but without any analysis as TBAFS is non-partisan.
