Municipalities make a range of decisions that influence people’s ability to access food, the viability of food and farming businesses, school food environments and the environmental impacts of our food system.
The Thunder Bay and Area Food Strategy sent a survey to all candidates in the upcoming municipal elections, with questions regarding their commitment to improving access to healthy food for all including school food environments, protecting food producing areas, and supporting food and farm businesses.
The Thunder Bay and Area Food Strategy is non-partisan. Candidates were required to complete each response by a firm deadline and limit their responses. If you would like more information regarding a specific candidate’s platform, please contact them directly.
You can view the responses of all candidates who responded by the deadline by clicking on each Municipality or School Board.
